Seeing how the first little princess was made without any of Roy or I's knowledge or even the slightest attempt at trying, I never realized how hard this baby-making thing can be.
For another month, I'm not pregnant. I've always hated my period much like any girl, but until you are trying to conceive you don't realize that the "hateness" can be taken to a whole new level.
We've only been trying for 4 months now, but I can't help being a little sad each month when it doesn't happen. I need to learn to be patient and let things happen, but for me that is the hardest part of this all. Thank goodness for Roy. He is my rock, my voice of reason.
So, for today I'm gonna be sad. Tomorrow will be a new day, and soon we will begin a new month of trying.

The new princess......
I know I've been neglecting my blog, but I promise I have a good excuse. Miss Madelyn Ruth arrived Dec. 15 weighing in at 9lb 3oz and 20.5 inches. Yes, she was a big girl. Life with her has been amazing. Of course there have been times that we have both been crying, but it's been so worth every second. I can hardly believe she turned 12 weeks old yesterday. It feels like we were just bringing her home. Roy and I are so in love with her!!!
So while I was on maternity leave, I taught myself how to crochet. I'll have to share Maddie's hat parade later, but I just finished my first little animal for her. I think we are gonna name her Ellie. I have so much fun creating things for her. I think Roy thinks I'm a little nuts with my crafts but he humors me in acting interested.
Meet Ellie.........
